Did you see Fernando Alonso’s crash at the Australian F1 Grand Prix last weekend? It’s truly incredible that Fernando survived unharmed. In fact, the front page of the Herald Sun said that he is the luckiest man alive!

Thankfully, Fernando’s Management sincerely cares about his safety and the safety of their team. Not only does that mean that Management are doing the best that they can to ensure their team’s safety, but they are also protecting themselves.
People don’t always realise that when they are in a position of authority, they are open to litigation. In the event that they have not applied due diligence, they can be subject to prosecution and/or lawsuits. Not only that, but you could be rendering your insurance coverage null and void if you have not met your obligations.
Just imagine if Alonso had, in fact, died in that crash all the investigations that would take place! Everything would be scrutinised, from equipment standards to training provided to what documentation has been kept.
Do you ensure that ALL of your staff receive the fire safety training that they are required to do EVERY year?? It is a requirement of State/Territory legislation and Australian Standards for all staff to receive fire safety instruction annually.

What’s the easiest and most cost-effective way to achieve this? DELTRA Australia offers online fire safety programs for General Staff Induction and Using Fire Extinguishers for as little as $6.50 per person!
As the 7-time World F1 Champion Michael Schumacher said, “think before about after”. Don’t have any regrets: ensure that your staff receive proper training BEFORE the unthinkable occurs.
